Today

Woke up disoriented to the
sound of a man yelling outside
Couldn't understand the language
Russian? English? Uzbek?
Don't want to open my eyes
but don't mind feeling the sun on my face
"You give me no RESPECT!!!!" he goes on...
Thoughts racing, it seems i can smell
my grandfather's medicine
Is that what home feels like?
Then i look up at the sealing and say out loud
"My meeting starts at noon"
I say that in English.
